Memory, Machines and Medicine was commissioned by Greg Hobson at the National Museum of Photography. Film and Television Bradford as part of the exhibition "Shine" a showcase of contemporary British photography, other exhibitors included, Helen Starkey.
The 3 portraits, all of which portray surgically altered faces, address the issues of illusion. The scale of the photographs, 5 x 4 feet mean the viewer has to read the surface of the image as a map, thus changing the perception of purely portrait.
